Why Diamonds to Dollars

For centuries, the hard part wasn't owning a diamond. It was knowing how to sell it.

Diamonds and precious gems have been traded for hundreds of years. Yet most Americans came to think of diamonds principally as jewelry or heirlooms—something valuable to wear, hold and eventually pass to the next generation.
